Poets Against War continues the tradition of socially engaged poetry by creating venues for poetry as a voice against war, tyranny and oppression. |
Around the United States and in many other countries, poets gathered beginning February 12th to read their works as a powerful statement of public and collective resistance to the Bush administration's drive toward war in Iraq. We encourage you to set up your own public readings of poetry against the war, contact the press in your city or town, and make the heavens sing with the power of this protest.
