STORYBOOK HEAVEN

Now, I've got a story
That I want to tell;
a tale about glory
and ringing the bell.
Our liberty's dying
and white folks is crying
'cause storybook heaven
has all gone to hell.

We're moving too quickly
the rich folks to please.
We're building destruction
and calling it peace.
So stop all your lying
and crying for more;
'cause Earth is your mother
and not just your whore.

The moral is sad, now;
The story is true.
The famed crimson tide,lad,
has gone on to blue.
So listen, my children,
Come lend me your ears.
We've run out of colors.
We're drowning in tears.

Half the world away
upon the other side of time,
half the world's at playing out
the blowing of its mind.
Don't close your ears,
Don,t turn your head,
avert your eyes away.
The world that they are playing with
is right here where we stay.

We haven't learned our lessons.
We haven't learned them well;
not listened to the stories
the prophets came to tell.
Christ rose up from the river
and walked upon the sea.
We sang our songs of freedom
and still we are not free.

Patriots and businessmen, adventurers and priests
plying all the tricks they know
to make war out of peace.
But now we've gone too far.
We've turned our epitaphs to stone.
The reason's plain, the cause the same,
we still have to be shown.

We must love our country__
the world in which we live.
If brotherhood's a common bond,
we'll get back what we give.
Let's do away with "diplomats",
"ambassadors," and "kings;"
and go on to some better time
where human life's the thing.

Our liberty's dying
and white folks is crying
'cause storybook heaven
has all gone to hell.

So hear us loud,
hear us now
and hear us make our plea.
We won't stand your killing ways.
The time's come to be free.
We're not alone.
We're sharing time.
There's no need for your fear.
Lay down your guns,reach out your arms,
THE HUMAN TIDE IS HERE!
